RGPV was established in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh VidhanSabha Act 13, 1998. The Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is marching towards development into a center of excellence in the arena of Technical Education, Research and Innovations. All Engineering and Pharmacy colleges are affiliated to it. Presently 136 Polytechnic institutions (66 government and 70 Private) offering diploma courses in emerging and conventional disciplines. Since all the institutions are running the courses which are under the umbrella of RGPV, Government polytechnic College, Dewas has also taken the affiliation from RGPV for the conduction of all the Diploma courses. Annually the affiliation procedure is being followed by us.
AICTE is the apex body in the field of technical and professional education, established under the Education Act 1987 (No 52 of 1987, as Passed by the Houses of Parliament), an Act to provide for the establishment of an All India Council for Technical Education with a view to the proper planning and co-ordinated development of the technical education system throughout the country, the promotion of qualitative improvements of such education in relation to planned quantitative growth and the regulation and proper maintenance of norms and standards in the technical education system and for matters connected therewith. For all the technical institutes, it is mandatory to take the approval for conduction of courses in engineering, management, MCA, pharmacy etc from AICTE. Government Polytechnic College, Dewas has been accorded with the approval for the start of the courses and also annual approval for their extension. Institutions follows all the norms and guidelines as mentioned in the act. Below are the Extension of Approval Letters from AICTE.
